Smoking like any habit is very difficult to break through using willpower alone because the habit becomes a deeply ingrained part of who you are. Smoking often starts at an early age through a conscious decision and before long it becomes an addictive habit.

You slowly begin to realise that you rely on cigarettes in certain situations, and associate smoking with certain activities. Once this process has begun, the choice to smoke is no longer controlled by the conscious, it becomes as habitual and automatic as brushing your teeth in the morning.

This is why when you decide to give up it can seem extremely difficult.

Non-smokers do not think about or desire cigarettes because they have not developed a habitual mind-set, just like once it was not your mind set either.

How many sessions will I need?

Hypnotherapy is an individual therapy and the number of sessions required does vary between individuals.

I recommend a minimum of three sessions. On the program you stop smoking at the 2nd session. Hypnotherapy is not a long term treatment and usually most issues can be resolved on average in three to seven sessions. In some cases people will require extra sessions or booster sessions if there are other issues involved. Your needs become known once the treatment commences.

How much will I save?

If you smoke a pack a day from Sep 2020 you will save $10,000 per year.

Yes I am a health fund approved clinical hypnotherapist. Some health funds will give you rebates for hypnotherapy sessions. Please check with your provider.
